Q: When is the PT Summit?

A: The Windsor PT Summit is September 26th to September 28th, 2014. The Pre-Conference is held Friday, September 26th, 2014. The Regular Conference is Saturday, September 27th and Sunday, September 28th. A full schedule of events is available on our SUMMIT DETAILS page.

Q: Who is the Windsor PT Summit for?

A: The Windsor PT Summit is for Personal Trainers, Fitness Professionals, Group Exercise Instructors, students and fitness enthusiasts of all ages and fitness levels!

Q: Where will the Windsor PT Summit be held?

A: The Windsor PT Summit will be held at the HK Building at the University of Windsor, 2555 College Avenue, Windsor, ON, N9B 2Z5 (Intersection of College & Huron Church). A map of the University of Windsor will be sent with your confirmation email when you register for the Windsor PT Summit.

Q: Where do I park?

A: Paid parking is available across the street on College. There a various spots on the road surrounding the building, but you'll need to arrive early to snag a free spot! If you are using paid parking, we recommend you bring loonies and toonies for the Pay & Display lot.

Q: Why should I attend the Pre-Conference?

A: Often times, people comment that they want to learn more after a short 90 minute session at a conference. Our Pre-Conference is an opportunity to get 4-8 hours of in-depth focus on a specific topic of great interest. The Pre-Conference is a more hands-on, small group, highly interactive workshop. (You can also earn 2 to 4 CECs depending on the workshop you attend).

Q: Who are the PT Summit Speakers?

A: Our PT Summit Speakers are local and internationally known health and fitness industry professionals. Full bios are available on our SUMMIT DETAILS page.

Q: What is included in my conference registration fee?

A: Your conference registration fee includes:
  • Admittance to your selected educational workshops and lectures
  • Access to discounted fitness industry vendor products
  • Informative handouts from PT Summit speakers provided by email
  • Up to 4 CECs from CanFitPro to renew your certification
  • Certificate of completion

Q: What does it cost to register?

 

A: Please visit our SUMMIT DETAILS page for the detailed pricing structure. All prices listed are in Canadian dollars and do not include 13% HST.

 

Q: Is there a group discount for gyms or similar facilities?

 

A: Yes, groups of 4 or more are entitled to $50 each for any registration. Contact joannec@refinefitness.com to receive your promo code.

 

Q: I don't want to pay by credit card online, is there another way to register?

 

A: You can register with a credit card by phone 519-253-9400, email joannec@refinefitness.com, or fax 519-253-4200. Or you can pay cash, debit or credit in person at Refine Fitness, 1623 Wyandotte St E, Windsor, ON, N8Y1C8. Email joannec@refinefitness.com to request a registration form.

 

Q: How many CECs will I get?

 

A: You can earn up to 4 CECs, you can see the CECs accredited per session on the DETAILS page.

 

Q: What should I bring?

 

A: Handouts will be emailed one week prior to the conference, you can download and print at your convenience before the event. In our effort to 'be green' handouts will not be provided on site. We also recommend you bring notepads and pen/pencils to take notes with. You may also want to bring some cash or a credit card to purchase books, DVDs and other items available for sale.

 

Q: What should I wear?

 

A: Many of the lectures are active participation workshops, thus we recommend you wear comfortable clothing and shoes (anything you'd normally wear to work out - we'd advise against jeans, high heels or other restrictive clothing).

 

Q: Will there be food or beverages provided?

 

A: We recommend that you plan ahead for any meals or refreshments that you require. There are some options available on campus and nearby restaurants, including a Subway. The Saturday lunch break is scheduled from 1:00-2:00PM and you are free to leave during that time and return for the afternoon lectures. Please try to be punctual for the 2:00PM start time for the afternoon sessions - late arrivals are disruptive to other delegates and the Speakers.
